Native Plants and Trees
Almost all of the plants and trees you may have bought from nurseries and greenhouses are non-native species. These non-native species can look very nice and many are quite hardy BUT did you know many of our birds, butterflies and insects cannot feed on these plants. This is a factor in the rapid disappearance of many of our species of native butterflies and songbirds from our urban areas and the invasion of more aggressive imports like starlings and house sparrows.

These non-native trees and plants generally require more care and water to survive in our climate. When you look around in the country you will see that nobody is watering the grass, shrubs, plants and trees and yet they are green and flourishing. They are specialized to our drier and cooler Alberta climate and in turn thrive with very little care.

We offer healthy locally grown native trees, shrubs and plants and also offer complete design and planting service whether it's a small yard in the city or an acreage right up to large municipal plantings along streets and highways to commercial buildings, school yards, housing developments, senior centres etc.
